Chapter 9-Olive Green Warmth and Tears: Xiao Xiaoxiao’s Softened Heart and Midterm Sorrow
Xiao Xiaoxiao was the last to eat in the canteen. The only one who didn’t eat was him. Every time the other students left, he would walk into the canteen alone. He knew that no one would come, and no one would want the last remaining rice. Sometimes, they would even get an extra spoonful of leftover soup.
“Four or two meters of rice?”
Xiao Xiaoxiao raised his lunch box. He had arrived a bit late today.
“No, why didn’t you come earlier?”
Xiao Xiaoxiao silently walked out of the canteen and forced himself to hold back his tears.
“Don’t scream. It’s no big deal if you don’t eat a meal. If I have money every year, I’ll let you eat until you’re full.”
As Xiao Xiaoxiao walked, he knocked on his lunch box to comfort his stomach. His stomach seemed to understand his words and stopped shouting. He couldn’t help but smile.
